 The second United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-2) will give Major Groups and Stakeholders the unique opportunity to come together prior to UNEA and to actively engage with the two-day Global Major Groups and Stakeholder Forum 2016 (GMGSF 2016).  GMGSF 2016 will take place on May 21 and 22 at the UN compound in Nairobi, Kenya and it will mobilize Major Groups and other Stakeholders  to engage in a multi-stakeholders setting that will also include policymakers, learning from each other, developing partnerships and creating their input into UNEA-2.

Please save the date for our NY side event to help major groups and other stakeholders prepare for the upcoming United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-2) in Nairobi in May. This New York meeting is part of series of global webinars and events (including parallel sessions in London and Geneva) organised by Stakeholder Forum, UNEP, as well as CIVICUS, aimed at supporting stakeholder input in UNEA-2.

The event will inform you about the progress of the negotiations for UNEA-2, the avenues for involvement, and will provide the opportunity to make stakeholder input on some of the meeting’s major themes, including ‘Healthy People, Healthy Planet’ and ‘Partnerships to implement the environmental dimension of the Sustainable Development Agenda’. This will be a unique occasion to share and discuss ideas with prominent speakers and other stakeholders on the key issues related to UNEA-2.
The event will take place at the Daily News Building on the 20th of April from 13.00-15.00, including a free lunch. Registration is free, and can be done via this link, where you will shortly find the full schedule of panellists. Register now in order to secure your place.

We re pleased to invite you to our event Private sector in development: Private profit for public good? Open Forum on Trends and Issues in Private Sector Engagement in Southeast Asia on 16 November 2015, 1-5 PM  at Torre Venezia Suites, Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

This event is hosted by the CPDE Asia and Reality of Aid Asia Pacific. 

The open forum is an opportunity that will welcome the public audience to the reports of Southeast Asian CSOs in the situations and trends of the role of private sector engagement in development. Roster of panel speakers from countries and sectors from the region will share their experiences and recommendations on the issue.
